Half hour episodes comprising a variety of skits, songs and cartoons.
If you're looking for fun, just look in Cowboy Billy's hat! Cowboy Billy and his Old West friends have fun while they learn to live right, the cowboy way. Original skits, songs and cartoons are performed by Bill Dougal and actors, young and old. Tall tales and fun facts are presented through Bill's comic writing and colorful artwork in short, memorable segments for kids aged five to eleven. The original music is catchy tunes with silly or educational lyrics. Some characters are live action like Dusty Dan. Others are cartoon style like Pickleface Pete.

Variety is the spice of this kids show. SONGS by Bill Dougal tell messages; "I Walked Away" suggests non-violent conflict resolution. Other songs are just plain fun, like "Bow Wow Cowboy". COMEDY SKITS include kooky characters; The Sheriff, Lonesome Logan and Sock Shop Sue.
Some actors are young, some older and some are cartoons. Nathan, Cowboy Billy's horse neigh-bor is a puppet. Dougal's cartoon-style ARTWORK brings the words of his songs, skits, poems and monologues to life. Live action actors often appear with a cartoon background.
CHARACTER VALUES are taught through skits, where western characters grapple with concepts like honesty, fairness and responsibility. EDUCATION regarding art and cowboy life happens as lessons are sprinkled throughout the program. Drawing skills develop as kids are shown how to create things like horses and lassos.
Creative thinking is encouraged; for instance Cowboy Billy turns a horseshoe into a bowlegged cowpoke with the stroke of his marker. You'll also see other amazing sights... Wanted posters that talk back, an Armadillotie (combination of an armadillo and a coyote) and a rodeo-riding bee.
